Théâtre du Jeu de Paume # Saison 2018/19

Épouse-moi, tragédies enfantines

Betting on love and youth - this is the best of the menus to remake the world - and enter the light-hearted human comedy which we are all heroes, proposed by a young team that believes.
First stirrings. Marry me, childish tragedies is a wandering around the awakening of spring of Wedekind and of the master and Margarita by Bulgakov. Two major works, in different centuries, who have embraced the modern imagination by their poetic beauty and transgressive power. Christelle Harbonn puts them at the heart of his new creation whose subject is love or rather its engine, which is the desire. By love, Marguerite gives his soul to the devil and Wedekind adolescents, it is love that is the major issue to navigate the maze of human relationships and the erotic impulses.
Christelle Harbonn, OM playwright, takes these situations as a theme of reflection, and in a series of art workshops, wrote a contemporary piece. Here, his concern is to point that evokes, intimately and politically, the vertiginous question of our desires. The result is a polyphonic show where stories are metaphors to tell the difficult reconciliation of desire and reality, through a succession of portraits that make us face ourselves, who we are and what we would have been. With kindness, mockery, humor and fantasy, each will seek its breadcrumb and run him.
